VAT & Import Charges

Import Duties & Taxes

All Print ’n Shipped orders are shipped from the Netherlands. Orders delivered outside the European Union are therefore treated as imports and may be subject to additional charges.

We ship all international orders DDU (Delivered Duties Unpaid). This means that import charges are not included in the product price or calculated at checkout.

What additional charges may apply?

Depending on the destination country, you may be charged:

  • VAT or local sales tax

  • Customs duties, if applicable

  • Carrier handling or customs-clearance fees

These charges are determined by your local customs authority and collected by the shipping carrier before delivery.

Print ’n Shipped does not collect VAT, customs duties, or import taxes for orders shipped outside the EU. Any applicable charges are the responsibility of the customer.

Why am I being charged VAT?

You are not being charged twice.

  • Your order is shipped from the Netherlands

  • Countries outside the EU treat the shipment as an import

  • Local VAT or sales tax may be required when the parcel enters your country

Because we ship DDU, these charges are collected separately by the shipping carrier or customs authority.

How does payment work?

  • The shipping carrier will usually contact you by email or SMS

  • You will receive instructions or a payment link

  • Once the charges have been paid, your parcel will be released for delivery

Refused shipments

If you refuse to pay the applicable import charges, the parcel may be returned to us.

Original shipping costs, return shipping fees, customs charges, and a restocking fee of up to 5% may be deducted from your refund.

United Kingdom

VAT is not collected at checkout for orders shipped to the United Kingdom.

UK customs may apply:

  • 20% VAT

  • Import duties, if applicable

  • A handling or customs-clearance fee from the shipping carrier

These charges must be paid before delivery and will be collected directly by the shipping carrier, usually UPS.

United States

Orders shipped to the United States may be subject to:

  • Import duties or tariffs

  • State or local taxes

  • Carrier handling or customs-clearance fees

The exact amount depends on the order value, product classification, and current US import regulations. These charges are not included at checkout.
